Black Copper Marans are a robust breed originating in France, where it has been described as the “perfect farm hen.” We tend to agree! This beautiful bird is balanced, strong, and sturdy.  Our Black Copper Marans have been sourced from quality show stock, and we focus on both SOP and egg color in our breeding program.

Personality
Docile, calm, and very friendly, Black Copper Marans are an excellent bird for families.  Our roosters are non-aggressive and hens want to be pets!

Keep in mind that eggs you receive will be from hens that are all at different points in their laying cycle.  Black Copper Marans lay their darkest at the beginning of the laying cycle and lighter towards the end of the cycle.
